How To Share Social Media Accounts Without Giving Out Your Password

Often, several different people within a company will need access to any given social media tool; this poses the problem of having to give out your password for them to gain access to your account.  Sendible have come up with a solution to this problem.  Sendible allows the administrator to share access to any of your social media accounts, without compromising your security.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Log into your Sendible Account.

Step 2: In the upper right-hand corner of your screen, click on the “My Users” tab.

Step 3: On your toolbar, click the “Sharing” button.


Step 4: Select the item that you would like to share, then select which user you would like to share this item with and move them to the “Currently Shared With” box on the right by using the arrow buttons.

Step 5: Select the “Close” button and you are finished!

The designated user will now have access to the chosen account, without having to use your password!

How To Automatically Reply To Twitter Users Who Mention Specific Terms

The Sendible Twitter Management features allow you to automatically send a response to anyone who mentions your specific keywords.  This is an excellent marketing tool for busy social media managers who don’t want to miss the chance to engage with a potential client.  By striking up a conversation automatically, this tool gives you the opportunity to truly engage with potential clients who are talking about your field of expertise.

Follow the steps below to configure the Twitter auto reply tool on your Sendible account.

Step 1: Log into your Sendible Account.

Step 2: Go to Add/Edit Services.

Step 3:  Go to the Automation tab and click “Add” to include Twitter Auto Replies.

Step 4: Type in a description along with your keywords into the respective fields.  Keywords must be separated by a comma.

Step 5: Type in your message.  You can randomize which message will go out by entering different messages on each line.

Step 6: Save your settings at the bottom of the page.

It is really that easy to start engaging with Twitter users who are talking about your area of expertise without you even having to be in front of your computer!

How to automate Facebook birthday wall posts

The Sendible Facebook auto responder allows you to automatically send Facebook wall posts to your contacts on their birthdays.  Businesses can use this social media tool as a marketing campaign, to send messages to their customers leading up to their birthdays.  These messages could be used to attract customers through the use of exclusive birthday coupon codes.

Follow the steps below to configure this on your Sendible account:

Step 1: Log into your Sendible Account.

Step 2: Go to Add/Edit Services.

Step 3: Go to Social Media Messaging and Click “Add” to include Facebook Wall Post.

Step 4: It will ask you to connect to your Facebook account. “Click” on connect with Facebook and enter your account details.

Step 5: Click on “Allow”.

Step 6: Click on “Grant the Permission” and then again click “Allow”.

Step 7: Click on “Fetch Contacts” and then select the contacts to be imported and to receive your automatic messages.

Step 8: Click on “Import”.

Now you will be brought back to Add/Edit Services and in there select the “Automation” tab. Then click the Add button next to the Facebook Auto Responder.

Step 9: Fill in the Details on the form and don’t forget to select an existing or if you don’t have one setup yet, then you can create one by clicking on the small group button next to the group dropdown menu as shown below.

Step 10: When you are done then click on “Save Settings” as shown below.

Your Facebook auto responder has now been set up and will automatically start scheduling birthday messages to your Facebook contacts.

How to send SMS text messages to a group using Sendible

Sendible is well known as a social media management platform, but it is also great for Email and SMS mobile marketing. Sendible allows you to send SMS text messages to any country and any network in the world.

With Sendible, there are several ways to send SMS text messages to a group of contacts. This post details the simplest way. If you don’t yet have a Sendible account, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial at http://sendible.com/signup.

To create a group of contacts who will be receiving SMS text messages from you, follow the steps blow:

1. Go into My Contacts.

2. Select Groups.

3. Click New Group and give your group name, then click Create.

4. Click New Contact and enter the details for the contact. Make sure under Contact Information, you select SMS as the preference. Also, be sure to include the country code for the mobile number.

5. Click Save.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add multiple SMS contacts.

Now, to send a bulk SMS to this group, go to Message Box and select the group you created in Step 3 above.

Compose your text message and click Send.

How to post to Facebook photo albums using Sendible

A popular question from users of Sendible, the platform for monitoring social media for businesses, is how to post images to a Facebook photo album using Sendible, as seen below:

This is pretty straight forward with Sendible. If you don’t already have a Sendible account, you can sign up for a free trial at http://sendible.com/signup.

Once you’ve signed into your Sendible account, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Add/Edit Services.
  2. Under Social, scroll down to Photo Sharing and select the Facebook Page Album service (click Add).
  3. Select your Facebook Page and choose to create a new album every time you post.
  4. Save your settings.
  5. Return to the Message Box and select the Facebook Page Album service you just added.
  6. Click the “Subject/Title” button and enter a name for your album.
  7. Click the “Photo or File” button and upload as many photos as you like.
  8. In the message area, enter the description for your album.
  9. Click Send.

 

How to post Facebook link previews using Sendible

With Sendible social media management software, you have full control over the link previews that you post to Facebook. A Facebook link preview is the thumbnail image and title, caption and description that appears below a link you post on Facebook.

You can use the following technique when attaching links – this will give you complete control over Facebook link previews:

  1.  From Message Box > Compose, click the URL button.
  2. Enter the URL (e.g. http://www.facebook.com/snowball.studios) and click Attach.
  3. Select the image preview to use and click Attach Link Preview.
  4. Then, you can edit the message content and click Send.

How to schedule Facebook Page updates and Twitter posts with Sendible

If you haven’t already done so, add your Facebook and Twitter accounts from within Add/Edit Services. Once you’ve added your social media accounts, you can schedule your posts to your saved services.

There are two ways to schedule your messages with Sendible.

Option 1:

The easiest way to schedule a message is as follows:

1. Select Message Box > Compose.

2. Compose your message.

3. Select the “Scheduling” button and select to Send at a specific time.

4. Select the exact date and time to send the message.

5. Click Send and Sendible will send the message at the scheduled time.

 

Option 2:

You can use the calendar as follows:

1. Select Message Box > Calendar.

2. Find the date and time you’d like to post and click that time slot.

3. Compose your message and click Send. Sendible will send the message at the scheduled time.

How to manage social media accounts for multiple clients with Sendible

At Sendible, we have tailored our social media tool for agencies and companies to manage multiple social media accounts across clients and/or brands. This post explains how to get started if you’re a small agency wanting to manage social media for 4 clients.

1. Start by signing up for a Sendible account, by going to http://sendible.com/pricing.

2. Since you’ll be managing 4 clients, you’ll want to sign up for the Business plan, which supports up to 4 users initially for $49.99 per month. As you bring on more clients, additional user accounts can be added at $12.49 per user per month.

3. Enter your company information and complete the signup process.

4. After signing up and activating your account, sign in to Sendible at http://sendible.com/login.

5. Click on My Users to create and manage your clients.

6. To create a new client, click New User. Fill in the details for your client and click Create User.

7. After creating the user account, you’ll see a drop-down box at the top right. This allows you to switch to any of your clients and manage their accounts for them.

How to automatically welcome new followers on Twitter

We have recently added an exciting new feature to the Sendible social media management software that allows you to automatically send welcome messages to new Twitter followers. These can be automatic DM’s (direct messages) or even @ replies.

To set up your Twitter Auto Responder, all you need to do is follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your Sendible account. If you don’t have one, you can sign up for a free trial at http://sendible.com/signup.
  2. Click on Add/Edit Services and under Add Services, select the Automation tab.
  3. Next to the Twitter Auto Responder, click Add.
  4. On the settings page, complete the following details:
    • Description: This is for your own reference.
    • Twitter account: Select the Twitter account that will send the messages to new followers. If you haven’t added a Twitter account yet, you can do this in Add/Edit Services under the Social tab.
    • Message: Enter the message that will be sent out to new followers. To alternate the messages that are sent out to each follower, you can add multiple messages, with one message per line. You can also insert merge tags such as $first_name or $username. These will replaced with actual values when the tweet or DM is sent out.
    • Message Type: Select the type of message that should be sent out. This can be a DM (private message) or Tweet (public @ reply).
    • Auto Follow: Select Yes if you would like to automatically follow people back.
    • Frequency: Select how often Sendible should check for new followers and send out messages.
    • Maximum messages to send out: Select the maximum number of DM’s/Tweets to send out every time Sendible checks for new followers.
  5. Save your Settings.

Once you’ve saved your settings, Sendible will automatically check for new followers based on the frequency you set and will send out DM’s/@ replies to those Twitter users.

Attaching Facebook link previews using Sendible

We’ve recently added a new way for you to attach URL’s and customize their thumbnail previews when posting to sites like Facebook and LinkedIn.

You can choose the thumbnail at the time you attach the link as follows:

1. Compose a new message in the Message Box. 
2. Click URL and enter the URL in the box. E.g. http://www.cookie.com/dealn/25-for-a-50-gift-card-to-toys-r-us—fo…
3. Click Attach. 
4. Select the image you’d like to attach with your link and click “Attach Link Preview”.

You can then compose your message.
