Localized social media monitoring and engagement with Sendible

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

We have recently moved away from Social Mention as our social media monitoring tool and have decided to do it ourselves.

We’ve taken a look at some of the other services in this space and what most of them are lacking is the ability to deliver meaningful localized results. For that reason, we’ve implemented our own social media monitoring functionality that delivers localized, more relevant results than our competitors and we think you’ll love the level of customization you get with Sendible’s new social media monitoring technology!

Below are the steps you can take to set up a keyword for social media monitoring:

  • From within Message Box, click on the Mentions sub-tab.
  • Click the Add Brand button.
  • Fill in the details on the settings page – you can optionally select a country and location to localize results.
  • You can also decide whether Sendible should notify you or any of your team members via email when new mentions are discovered.
  • After saving your settings, Sendible will start to retrieve mentions for you. You can keep track of the latest mentions about your keyword or brand from the mentions tab within Message Box.
  • Sendible will automatically analyse your mentions and highlight posts with both negative and positive sentiment so that you can easily locate the most meaningful posts and respond immediately.
  • To respond to a mention, you can just click the item in the list and respond directly from Sendible.

If you’d like to try out our social media tracking technology, sign up for a free Sendible account and you can monitor up to 4 keywords for free. Our paid accounts start from as little as $10 per month!

  • Click on My Reports.
  • Click on the Site Analytics sub-tab and you’ll be prompted to connect to Google Analytics.
  • After connecting, you’ll be returned to the My Reports tab – go back to Site Analytics and start monitoring your site stats.

New Social Networking services available on Sendible

Friday, October 31st, 2008

We recently launched a great new feature on Sendible that makes updating your status across multiple social networks simultaneously and at a time you choose a snap!

In so doing, we’ve also extended the number of email, blogging and social network services that Sendible now works with:

Sendible is a simple service that makes it possible to access all your contacts from one place and send them messages (now, or scheduled for later) using Email, SMS or your Social Networks.

For more information, and reviews of Sendible.com, check out the following sites:

We’ll be adding more social network services all the time, so be sure to let us know which ones you’d like to see added next!

The internet has changed the world, mostly through big sites like Google, Amazon, MySpace and Facebook.

But other smaller sites can, if anything, be even more useful, if only you can find the right ones.

Check out TechRadar.com’s list of the top 20 lesser-known sites you never realised you needed. Sendible is listed at number 9.

Update your status on multiple social networks at once

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

We have been quiet on the blogs lately as we’ve been extremely busy making Sendible better!

One of the new features we’ve been working on is the ability to update multiple social networks simultaneously. Now, you can update your status on (multiple) Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn accounts at the same time. Update your status using recurring schedules ahead of time!

Check it out, by visiting http://www.sendible.com and clicking on Status Updates.
