How to post to your Facebook Groups using Sendible

February 16th, 2010 by admin

A popular feature request by Sendible users was the ability to add support for Facebook Groups. Facebook Groups were the easiest way to share items of common interest with your friends and were the Facebook standard before Fan Pages came along.

Sendible has supported Facebook Fan Pages for a while now, but a lot of users have not yet made the transition from Fan Pages to Groups, so we decided to include the feature.

The steps required to post to Facebook Groups from Sendible are really simple.

1. Visit Add/Edit Services and add settings for Facebook Groups.

2. Sendible will automatically connect to Facebook for you and pull in all the groups you belong to. Select a group, enter your details and save your settings.

3. Return to the Message Box and you’ll now see your Facebook Group listed in your services. Select the Facebook Group and you can now go ahead and post a mesasge or image to your group. You can also schedule your post to go off at a later date or time.

5 things you can do with the new version of Sendible

February 3rd, 2010 by admin

We’ve been hard at work getting the new version of Sendible ready for launch. That day has finally arrived and Sendible 2.0 is now up and running.

Here are 5 things you can do with the new version of Sendible:

1. Monitor and Track your Emails, Social Media Messages and Link Clicks

A major new Sendible feature is the introduction of Social Media and Email analytics. Now you can track every comment, view, click, like and share from Sendible and determine exactly how well your social media campaign is going.

2. Read and respond to Facebook Comments and Twitter Retweets

Whenever you send a message or social network update from Sendible, Sendible will constantly look for comments and tweets to import into your message box. You can then reply to these comments and tweets directly from Sendible.

3. Automatically post via RSS to your Contacts and Social Networks

Use Sendible to automatically update your status on all your social networks when you publish a new blog post.

4. Send out professional-looking emails with our Email Templates

You can now use Sendible to send out email newsletters and other marketing material. You can see exactly which recipients opened the email. Sendible tracks every open, unsubscribe, click, forward and more.

5. Post to all your Social Networks at once via Email

In the new version of Sendible, it’s simple to post to all your social networks by just sending an email. Simply, create a group in Sendible, add your social network accounts and/or contacts to that group and we’ll give you a special email address that you can use to post to that group.

To attach a picture to a post, simply click the small icon below the message box and you’ll be able to browse for an image on your computer.  With the free version of Sendible, you can attach one picture per post. If you need to attach more than one picture per message – we recommend upgrading to one of our paid accounts.

Scheduled Facebook Page and Status updates a lot more reliable now

October 8th, 2009 by admin

Great news! We’ve managed to make scheduled Facebook posts and status updates a lot more reliable on Sendible by implementing Facebook Connect.

To get it working, we recommend doing the following:
  1. Go to Add/Edit Services and remove your Facebook Page and Facebook Status Update accounts – if you’ve already set one up.
  2. Then, configure them up again and you’ll be prompted to grant Facebook permission. Make sure you select the Facebook Pages you’d like to give access to from Sendible.
  3. Enter your details and save changes.
Your status and page updates should now be a lot more reliable and all your links should go through successfully.
Let us know how it goes.
For more info about scheduling Facebook status and page updates see our previous post.
